Ensure your pet is safely restrained in a calm, well-lit environment. Secure the paw or foot between your fingers and locate the pink inner blood vessel (the quick) inside the claw. Position the scissors with the cutting blade facing towards you and carefully snip the sharp tip of the nail safely above the quick line. Trim small amounts conservatively. Do not attempt to use these scissors on large hookbills or large animals with thick, dense nails, as this can crush the nail or damage the blades.

Thick-Nail Limitation: Designed strictly for finer claws. Not strong enough or shaped to accommodate thick, heavy, or large pet nails.

Strictly recommended for small to medium companion birds (such as Finches, Canaries, Budgies, Cockatiels, Lovebirds, Conures, Lorikeets, and Ringnecks), cats, small dogs, and small animals including Mice, Rats, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, and Ferrets. Not suitable for large parrots (like Cockatoos or Macaws) or large animal species with thick, heavy talons.

Wipe the blades completely clean with a dry cloth or rubbing alcohol after each grooming session. Store in a secure, dry cupboard out of reach of children and pets.

Supervise your pet during use. Take extreme care not to cut into the quick (nail bed), as this will cause immediate pain and bleeding. Always keep a blood-stopping styptic powder or cornflour close at hand during grooming sessions in case of an accidental over-trim. If your pet becomes highly stressed, struggles aggressively, or pants heavily, halt the procedure immediately and allow them to rest. If you are unconfident trimming your pet's nails at home, consult a qualified veterinarian or professional pet groomer for a demonstration.
