Returns & Refunds Policy
At Get Flocked, we pride ourselves on delivering premium, safe supplies to bird owners across Australia. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, our returns structure is outlined below to ensure transparency and biosecurity compliance.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns Window
You are entitled to request a change-of-mind return within 14 days of your parcel being marked as delivered by the carrier. Once your return application is formally approved via our portal, you must post the item back to our facility within 5 business days.
2. Strict Avian Health & Biosecurity Criteria
To protect the highly sensitive biological health of all our customers’ feathered friends, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding used or opened goods. This prevents the environmental transmission of fatal avian pathogens (such as Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease - PBFD).
Every single incoming return undergoes a rigorous multi-point inspection. This includes verification under high-intensity UV laboratory light, which instantly reveals microscopic biological residues, dander, feather dust, and preen oils invisible to the naked eye. If an item or its commercial packaging shows any trace of use, opening, or biological contact, the return will be immediately rejected and permanently disposed of for biosecurity safety.
3. Rejected Returns Protocol
If an item fails our bio-safety inspection, we will notify you via email. You will have a strict 7-day window to either pay a standard shipping freight fee to have the item returned to you, or authorize our warehouse to safely dispose of it. Unactioned items after 7 days will be automatically destroyed.
4. Refunds, Store Credits & Deductions
All approved change-of-mind returns are refunded exclusively as non-transferable Store Credits credited directly to your customer profile. The following terms apply:
- A 11% restocking fee is deducted from your final credit total to cover irreversible payment gateway transaction fees and manual warehouse handling.
- Original shipping charges, delivery handling fees, and promotional discount values are strictly non-refundable.
- Digital Gift Cards are final sale items and cannot be returned or refunded.
- If an order containing a promotional free gift drops below the required spending threshold upon partial return, the gift must be returned pristine and unopened, or its full retail value will be deducted from your credit total.
5. No Manual Exchanges
We do not offer manual product exchanges. If you require a alternative size or item, please lodge a standard return. Once your Store Credit is processed upon arrival, you can instantly order the preferred item from our live online store.
6. Return Shipping Labels
The customer is responsible for all return shipping logistics and costs. Our automated returns portal defaults to generating a trackable return shipping label for a flat rate of $13.00 AUD. If you prefer to buy your own postage label through an independent carrier, you must contact us via phone or email prior to submission so we can waive this automated fee on your profile.
7. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) & Faulty Goods
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law. If an item arrives structurally faulty, transit-damaged, or missing manufacturing components, we will fully refund the item through your original payment method. Damaged or missing claims must be lodged through your customer account portal within 24 hours of delivery along with clear photographic evidence of all internal and external packaging.
