Rinse the seeds thoroughly under cool, clean running water. Soak in fresh water for 8 to 12 hours, then rinse once more before serving or sprouting.

To sprout, place soaked seeds in a sprouting jar or colander in a dark, well-ventilated area, rinsing two to three times daily until small roots begin to grow. Always remove any uneaten portions from the cage within 4 to 6 hours to prevent spoilage.

Ensure all sprouting equipment, jars, and bowls are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before use to prevent bacterial contamination.

Sprouted portions can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, ensuring they are dry to the touch before cooling.
