Product Description
Keep HARI’s coconut derived activated charcoal available to help aid in digestion or to help eliminate toxins. Safe for pet birds, it is especially beneficial for budgies, canaries, finches and other small birds.
If heavy metal poisoning, medication overdose, or any toxin ingestion is suspected, activated charcoal can absorb the toxins and help them to be eliminated quickly. It’s an excellent digestive aid. Birds will only consume when and if needed.
Charcoal is not a substitute for seeking medical attention. If you suspect your bird is in distress or should your bird develop symptoms of illness, consult your Avian Veterinarian. Birds will only consume when and if needed. If there is an over-consumption, remove and speak with your avian vet as this could be an indication of a health issue. Activated charcoal can affect absorption of some medications and vitamins, always consult with your vet regarding your bird’s need for activated charcoal.
Safety First
No toy is completely safe. You should inspect all toys daily for damaged or broken parts. If a toy is damaged or broken, remove it immediately. Always offer products under strict supervision. Remember, this isn’t a toy for children.
