Freeze-Dried Vegetables (Excl. TAS & WA)
Product Description
Freeze-drying preserves all the goodness of fresh vegetables, maintaining their flavour and nearly all of their nutrients.
Only the finest, most vibrant vegetables (no wilted ones here!) are carefully selected, washed, chopped, and freeze-dried in a clean, professional environment. We also use human-grade ingredients to ensure the highest quality for your feathered companions.
Features & Benefits
- Healthy Snack Option: Freeze-dried vegetables offer a low-calorie, high-fibre treat that supports your bird's overall health and digestive function.
- Encourages Natural Foraging Behaviour: Birds enjoy foraging, and freeze-dried vegetables provide a fun, stimulating treat that taps into their natural instincts.
- Supports Immune Health: The vitamins and antioxidants in freeze-dried vegetables, such as Vitamin C and Beta-Carotene, help strengthen a bird’s immune system and promote general well-being.
- Hydration Support (when rehydrated): When rehydrated, freeze-dried vegetables can add moisture to your bird's diet, supporting hydration without the mess of fresh vegetables.
Directions
No peeling, chopping or soaking required – just pure convenience! Serve dry for a tasty crunch or add a splash of warm water for a fresh treat in 30 seconds. You can also add it to your bird's favourite foraging toy for extra fun and enrichment.
If you would like to make smaller pieces, use a sharp knife to cut the freeze dried product.
Vegetables should make up no more than 10% - 20% of a bird’s daily food intake.
Storage
Freeze-dried food can last up to 25 years when sealed, but for the best taste and nutrition, use within a couple of years of purchase. Once opened, try to finish within 6 months. Always reseal tightly after use. To help preserve freshness, each pack includes an oxygen absorber – please keep it out of reach of children and pets. Since moisture is the enemy of freeze-dried food, store it in a dry place to keep it at its best.
